The Garden District is home to beautiful homes and incredible shops, bars, and restaurants. However, the Garden District is also home to a hidden gem, The Garden District Book Shop.

The Garden District Book Shop is located inside The Rink, a shopping center that sits on the corner of Washington Avenue and Prytania Street. The building was originally used as a Roller Skating Rink in 1884. Four years later, a wealthy businessman by the name of John C. Bach purchased the building and converted the roller skating rink into horse stables. Sadly, by 1930 the once gorgeous building was converted into a TEXACO gas station. After years of neglect, the historic site was eventually restored into a gorgeous shopping center with coffee shops, gift shops, and a cute bookshop.

The Garden District Book Shop has plenty of books ready to read on the shelves. If you happen to want a specific book, the owners can order the title and mail it directly to you!
