Warehouse District

Welcome to The Warehouse District

Neighborhood

The Warehouse District is one of four historic sectors that make up the C.B.D. Buildings that were once used as factories and warehouses are now being renovated into luxurious apartments and condos. Once home to thousands of European immigrants, the area has young professionals living and working in the area.

The Warehouse District/ Central Business District has become a major tourist attraction. The Ernest N. Morial Convention Center contains approximately 1.1 million square feet of exhibit space, making it one of the largest and busiest in the country. The incredible and world-famous World War II Museum attracts about 700,000 visitors from around the globe.  If you’re feeling lucky, you can roll the dice at Harrah’s Casino on Canal Street. The Warehouse District has many beautiful art galleries along Julia Street as well as the world-renowned Ogden Museum of Southern Art.

You will always have something to do if you live in the Central Business District or Warehouse District. The neighborhood has a very cosmopolitan feel. There are workout studios, bars, restaurants, and rooftop pools just outside your door. This is the perfect neighborhood for people moving from larger metropolitan cities to adjust to the transition to the Big Easy.

What to Expect

You can expect to find old warehouses and factories that have been converted into modern luxury lofts, apartments, and condos.
