Faubourg Marigny commonly referred to as “The Marigny”, begins just across Esplanade from the French Quarter. The Marigny was initially established as a suburb of New Orleans in the early 19th century. The neighborhood is notable for its colorful shotgun homes, bungalows, and cottages. Although many people would characterize the Marigny as having a laid-back or bohemian vibe, the neighborhood does have a live music and dining scene. It’s the perfect neighborhood for people who appreciate art, music, and exceptional dining.
