Bywater is an up and coming neighborhood located east of the French Quarter and Marigny. The Bywater has become known as the “hipster” neighborhood. Over the last decade, Bywater has offered artists affordable housing and rents for studios. The nearby St. Roch neighborhood is home to a beautiful food market called the St. Roch Market, which is a popular spot for locals and tourists. With new restaurants, food trucks, and bars opening every month, you will always have something to do in Bywater.

Most of the homes in Bywater are shotgun doubles recently converted into single-family homes.
